A women-led not-for-profit organisation based in Sydney engaged SoftLabs to modernise its digital presence. Dedicated to supporting people experiencing homelessness, assisting disaster-affected families, and fostering community connection, the organisation was constrained by an outdated website that caused delays in campaign delivery and limited user engagement. The objective was to create a modern, responsive, and accessible web portal that improved usability and information access, reflected the organisation’s values, and encouraged greater community participation.

- Conducted comprehensive user research, including surveys, usability testing, and contextual inquiry, with insights documented through journey maps, presentations, and research reports.
- Designed low- to high-fidelity prototypes for web and mobile, ensuring WCAG-compliant accessibility, full responsiveness, and alignment with the client’s style guide.
- Redesigned key pages—About, Contact Us, Winners, Causes We Serve, Community Hub, and Donations—with improved navigation, modern layouts, and engaging interactive elements.
- Developed a WordPress-based website with an optimised content structure, enhanced performance, SEO best practices, and a simplified, user-friendly donation process.
- Delivered a complete design system, wireframes, prototypes, usability insights, and documentation to support long-term maintainability.
Outcome
